***** PROFANITY WARNING PROFANITY WARNING *****
This patch contains samples from the movie
'Aliens', and has course language in it. If
those sort of words insult you, I suggest
that you don't download it. If I get mail
complaining about the vulgar language in this
patch, I will send the person who sent it some
constructive words that will make the ones in
this patch seem tame. You have been warned....

Description of the Modification
-------------------------------
Although I don't like Duke Nukem that much, I have to admit that the
RemoteRidicule feature in Duke is pretty cool. A whole horde of lamers
on the Quake newsgroups insist for people to make Quake more like Duke
Nukem. However, as James Hetfield from Metallica once said: "Moving
back instead of forward seems to me absurd" (From Eye of the Beholder,
on the ...And Justice for All album). But RemoteRidicule is suprisingly
one of the *VERY* few things I like about Duke Nukem.

The modification was suprisingly easy, and I typed it up in about 5 minutes.
I'm suprised no-one has done this before, as I only know little tidbits of
QuakeC. This came into my head from a request from my brother and fellow
Gunman, Incubus, who still plays Duke, and is probably the ONLY gunman who
does so. So I typed in a couple of lines, and stuck in 6 wave files from
Aliens, because they were the coolest wav files I had sitting on my HD at
the time of writing. I may consider releasing a newer version with new
sounds.

How to use Modification
-------------------------------
When you run the patch up, it will automatically
reconfigure the following keys as the remote ridicule
keys:

Q - RemoteRidicule 1
W - RemoteRidicule 2
E - RemoteRidicule 3
R - RemoteRidicule 4
Y - RemoteRidicule 5
U - RemoteRidicule 6

If you want to change these keys to something else,
edit the QUAKE.RC file that should reside in your
REMOTE directory from your QUAKE directory. You then
find the following lines:

bind q "impulse 30"
bind w "impulse 31"
bind e "impulse 32"
bind r "impulse 33"
bind y "impulse 34"
bind u "impulse 35"

And change the letter after 'bind' to whatever key
you want to set it to. For instance, you could set
it to your function keys by typing:

bind F1 "impulse 30"
bind F2 "impulse 31"
bind F3 "impulse 32"
bind F4 "impulse 33"
bind F5 "impulse 34"
bind F6 "impulse 35"

How to Install the Modification
-------------------------------
Copy the REMOTE.ZIP file into your quake directory, and
unzip it by typing (without the quotes):

                   "PKUNZIP REMOTE.ZIP -D"
                                       ^^
                               DON'T FORGET THE -D!

Then run the REMOTE.BAT file in your Quake directory, or
if you want to do it manually, type "QUAKE -game remote"
or "Q95.BAT -game remote".

Technical Details
-----------------
Features:

        1. Enables use of 6 RemoteRidicule sounds.

Bugs:

        1. None whatsoever, because my code is perfect all the time ;)
