* DESCRIPTION *

A(nother) Quake2 frontend for Windows 95, 98 or NT. Allows you to setup and
maintain multiple user profiles and server configurations. Setup has an easy
to use interface with point-and-click support fo all common options as well
as a place to enter advanced/mod-specific info. User profiles are maintained
through config files. Should support all mods, though none are explicity
supported.

Is it any better than any other frontend, you ask? Probably not, but I must
think so, otherwise, I wouldn't have taken the time to build it. If you have
any suggestions, bug reports, comments, or just want someone to flame please
email me at jolson@wsu.edu.

* SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS *

- A computer (optional)
- Windows 95, 98, or NT 4.0 (only tested on NT)
- Some hard drive space
- Lots of RAM
- A registered version of Quake2 (built for 3.17)

* INSTALLATION *

1) Unzip the file WorldSpawn.zip (if confused, swallow bullet)
2) Double click setup.exe and follow instructions
3) If system doesn't crash, launch WorldSpawn from somewhere in the start
    menu
4) IMPORTANT! The first time you run the program choose Options from the View
    menu and set the path to your Quake2 directory.

* RUNNING THE PROGRAM *

Choose WorldSpawn from somewhere in the start menu. Choose a launch type,
server configuration and user profile. Hit the big launch button. If you
don't choose a user profile you'll get the default. If you don't choose a
server configuration you will be prompted for one.

To set up a server configuration:
    Make sure either dedicated or listen server is selected. Click the upper
    Add button. Follow instructions.

To set up a user profile:
    Make sure listen server or client only is selected. Click the lower Add
    button. Type in any descriptive name and select a user config file.
    Note: the profile name will NOT be your player's name. Set the name in the
    config file.

To set up a remote server:
    Make sure client only is selected. Click the upper Add button. Enter the
    IP address and an optional port number of a remote server.

* TIPS *

- Double click the empty gray box in the lower right hand corner to customize
  your WorldSpawn with a picture.
- Under the Map Settings tab, you can enter in the name of a text file (e.g.
  "maps.txt"), that contains a list of map names, into the combo box entitled
  Map List. The random map option will always select a map from the viewable
  list.
